saying hello

i have been looking at timber homes for years but i was not able to follow thru with my dream of building one. now my wife and i in our early fiftys, with just 2 kids left in college are starting the process. i been getting all the magazines looking at pictures ,designs, reading what to look for and do. so i signed up for timber home nation, to chat with and ask different people how there process went in building there dream home. as of now we are planning to stay in mississippi so finding a good timber home company is top on the list. i have been going to websites and reading about each one that interest us but i am open to any suggestions of companys that people have had a good working relation with. hopefully we can find one that is not to far from ms. because of the shipping cost involved. this is going to be our retirement home, place for the grandkids to visit and stay. we are looking for lake front, we love the water. so this is the kickoff of our journey. i will look in the forum for storys about others who have already gone thru this hoping to get some good inspirations and advice. this has been something i have wanted ever since i was young i love the outdoors and a timberframe home is perfect for that. looking forward to the experience.
